A two day launch slot Nov. 16 and 17 was reserved for Atlantis after
the Air Force agreed to delay the Delta 4 launch of a military
communications satellite.
Current schedule: Atlas 5 Intelsat communications satellite launch Nov.
14, with Nov. 15 as a backup; Atlantis launch on Nov. 16; the Delta 4
on Nov. 18. If the Atlas is delayed a day, Atlantis will slip to Nov.
17 and the Delta to Nov. 19.
As it now stands, NASA only has two days to get Atlantis off the
ground. After that, the shuttle launch would slip to Dec. 6 because of
sun angle constraints related to the space station's orbit.
