USAF MARS Mission Support Net
The USAF MARS National Mission Support Net, "MARS RADIO" is the Point-To-Point
equivalent of the USAF MARS phone patch net. On 7 December 2011, the Mission
Support Net began formal operations providing communications support for U.S.
space activities and other Government operations, including but not limited to,
contemporary military operations, mission and emergency communications for the
Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other civilian government agencies
including homeland defense activities as well as conus and oconus disaster
relief missions.
