Status of MARS in 2009 — a talk given at the combined Emergency Communications West (ECOMMWEST) and Pacificon conferences in Reno, Nevada in May 2009.
The Military Affiliate Radio Service is introduced by Dr. Roger Brett Hughes, AFA9HR / AFF9TD, the Region 9 USAF Training Director for MARS, who is an internationally renowned technologist, as well as being an extra class radio amateur (AE6MI, GW0RBH) and has qualifications in RADAR and many other areas, including FEMA emergency training.
