Just east of Estelline, Texas is a small curved section of old U.S. Highway 287. It looks like this was an orphaned section when the divided highway was built to straighten the curve. Looks like another good spot for storage! Estelline is in north central Texas between Amarillo and Wichita Falls. The nearest sizeable town is Childress.

In this photo you can see how rough the old pavement has become. You also get a good view of U.S. 287 just past the stop sign.

This is looking back toward Estelline. I had to shoot into the sun so the photo is not all that great. The old highway slab curves to the right - it is still sort of used as a local road or driveway.
