MARS-ALE software is available to all for downloading. All of the supporting technical documentation is available on the website. If you are interested, you can dig right into it. The documentation is excellent and very thorough. You just have to go through it very carefully as you set up you software package. I agree with the author’s.
Read everything first before proceeding.
You also need to get authorization to operate in the ALE mode. This is obtained via AFF2C, who forwards your request to AFN1AL. AFN1AL also has to supply you with a LICENSE.DAT file for the software to transmit “soundings”.
