Notes:
The developers of MARS-ALE have tried to tailor the software so it can work with almost any reasonable PC. In particular, the Legacy Edition is made to work with computers and sound devices that are widely available. However, not all of the standard ALE features are available. An upgraded computer, operating system, and sound device will enable all the features and give better system performance.
There are other considerations for the PC. Since your ALE system is on 24/7, you want a dedicated PC for MARS-ALE. Not everyone can do that.
