This is a neat
little multi band (5.2 – 17 MHz) digital PLL tuned, Short Wave receiver that
fits in an ALTOIDS® tin. It was
designed by Steve “Melt Solder” Weber KD1JV.
It is my first experiment with surface mount components (aside from one
or two that appeared in previous kits). I gotta get a small tip for my iron for
sure. Bob gave me tip of wrapping some
16g wire around my tip AFTER I finished building the board.
