Projects

This is my project page; herein is listed some of the things I have done with my very own two hands in Amateur Radio.

If you have come here looking for some ideas to begin "hacking", then don't be shy! One of the wonderful things about Ham Radio is that it isn't too difficult to make much of the stuff you might use.

It has been said that antennas are the last bastion of the homebrewer's realm; I might disagree with that, but it certainly is the easiest thing to build -- all you need is a little bit of wire, and you've got something with which you can work the world.

Here are some of the antenna projects I have undertaken:

• "Duck tail"
• ¼ wave whip
• the obligatory j-pole
• a beam antenna for 2m

Some of the other projects I have going on:

• TAPR PIC-E
• Ares Headset
• Ares toolbox (like the one in QST some time ago; go here to see the original thing. Mine will be slightly different. )
