• MARS SUCCESS STORIES. Whether you are a MARS operator or a MARS customer, we want to hear from you. Please share with us your experiences or participation in MARS, especially your success stories. We welcome stories and comments about MARS operations from any period or year, but particularly want to hear about recent MARS operations or support. Give us plenty of detail (dates, places, unit name, operation or exercise name you supported, etc.). Real-world, actual incident, emergency communication related stories are of special interest to us. Likewise, if you have any pictures of the MARS operations then please share those with us too. We believe that MARS continues to perform a vital communications role despite the availability of other communication technologies. Management of the US Army Military Affiliate Radio System (MARS) within Region 11 is HQ, 5th Signal Command. In turn, 5th Signal Command has appointed the Command MARS Director (Region 11) (AEM1E), who is responsible for the daily management of MARS in this region. Region 11 extends throughout Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia. You are encourage to contact the Command MARS Director direct if you have questions about MARS operations in this region.
