My favorite mode is definitely Morse code(CW), and about 95% of my on air contacts are CW. To learn more about CW, click here. I mostly operate CW on 20 Meters, and you can often find me close to the FISTS frequencies I like to collect awards(although I only have one so far) and am working on getting WAS, FISTS WAS, and FISTS Platinum. I am FISTS CC# 945. I may even try for the Millenium Award, because I already have 6 Diamond numbers. I already have qualified for the ARRL Friendship, and Ragchewer's Club awards, but have yet to submit my log information. I usually carry on QSOs at about 20 WPM on CW although I can copy at about 30 WPM, and I'm working on improving my code speed.

I do quite a bit of QRP operation. I just built a Small Wonder Labs DSW-20 QRP kit, which you can see on my projects page.

My second favorite(and second most used) mode is PSK-31. PSK-31 is a new, narrow, digital mode that is becoming very popular. It is good for QRP operation, and there is even a QRP PSK-31 transceiver being marketed by Small Wonder Labs. PSK-31 uses the sound card in your PC, so it is cheap to set-up and use. Sofware for PSK-31 is available free from several sources, links to which can be found here. PSK-31 is a mode that is used for ragchewing and is a lot of fun. If you haven't already, try it!

I also have made 3 or 4 contacts on Hellschreiber(or Hell for short), and it is also very good under bad conditions. It is actually a CW mode, but it is not morse code. To learn more about Hellschreiber, click here. I am interested in making more contacts on Hellschreiber, if you would like to set up a sked on Hell, or any other mode, email me.

In addition to the modes above, I have capability on RTTY, SSTV, and of course SSB, FM and AM.
