The Insomniacs Nightly Roundtable Net was established as an informal get-together for night travelers in the North Carolina and Virginia region. It supports all Insomniacs at fixed, mobile, and portable stations with chat about amateur radio, road conditions, and weather.
Participants enjoy the benefits of being kept alert, awake, entertained, informed, and safe. Travelers include tourists, commuters, and truckers who appear at any time on the W4GG VHF repeater at 145.250 MHz with a minus 600 kHz offset and 88.5 hertz tone. The Insomniacs Nightly Roundtable Net generally operates Tuesday through Saturday from 1 AM to 4:30 AM. Echolink connections to W4GG-VHF are also supported at times.
