Hamradio Emergency Preparedness Check List (HEPCL)

HAMRADIO EMERGENCY KIT:

>> Every operator should carry these items for any emergency situation <<
[] A waterproof duffle bag [for carrying the following items]
[] A wallet with all necessary identification cards or documents, atm card and money
[] A list of emergency phones' numbers of your home, parents, relatives, friends, offices etc.
[] A cellphone and its charger if you have one
[] An FRS or GMRS if you have one
[] An HT [may carry a mobile or a portable VHF/UHF/HF rig if its available]
[] Store the repeaters' freqs into your HT and rigs [may bring a repeater book]
[] A spare battery pack (spare rechargeable batteries) for HT
[] A battery charger
[] A portable/emergency VHF/UHF antenna [may carry a mobile/portable HF antenna]
[] A flashlight w/ its spare batteries
[] A notebook and a pen
[] A small [digital] camera
[] A folding knife
[] A scissors
[] A duck tape
[] A bundle of rope
[] A lighter (match box)
[] Several candles (or a battery operated lamp)
[] A bottle/can opener
[] Bottled water/juices/energy drink
[] Instant food/snacks
[] A dining kit (plates, cups, spoons, forks & knifes)
[] An instant cooking kit
[] A paper towel
[] A box of tissue
[] A spare cloth
[] A first aid kit
[] A medication (if any)
[] A personal hygienic kit (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, small towel, nail cutter, shaving cream & shaver).
