Radiomarine Corporation of America AR-8505 Radio Receiver, ca. 1939 - 1942

"The model AR-8505 radio receiver is a 7-tube superheterodyne designed primarily for marine services for high-frequency reception. The receiver covers a continuous frequency range from 540 to 30,000 kilocycles. No plug-in coils are required since any frequency within range specified may be quickly obtained by means of panel controls."

The receiver is 10" high, 17 3/4" wide and 12 1/4" deep. It weighs 33 lbs.

It is designed for a balanced antenna, and has two insulated binding posts for connection to a "standard marine-type doublet antenna".

It is an AC/DC receiver.
