APRS
APRS for emergency use is unreliable. Too many Stations are incorrectly setup,
inhibiting the operation of other Stations.
I propose an “APRS America” be organized with Stations that will agree to
follow bylaws that will identify acceptable uses of WIDE – TRACE – POWER
and BEACONING.
Anyone agreeing to the bylaws will be given access to “APRS American”
information on Internet and Stations not following the bylaws will be denied
access.
The operating frequencies for APRS America will be changed daily and only
members will have access to the new frequency via the WEB Page.
APRS Home Station SSIDs will be assigned to one frequency;
APRS Mobile Station SSIDs will be assigned another frequency.
