Homebrewing, contesting, satellite and most recenty high speed meteor scatter. A wind storm took out the elevation gears on my satellite array (mode B) one January day of 95. Left with azimuth control over the system I decided to see what the January VHF QSO was all about. Well, I've been hooked ever since. You will hear AA2GF calling in all the major "test"s and spring sprints.
Thanks to the folks who put on the annual N.E.W.S. (a.k.a. Eastern States VHF Conference) get together I had the opportunity to see how high speed meteor works. Cheap thrills is all I can say... More hams should give it a try.
