Druk Air, the national airline of Bhutan, is the only airline that flies in and out of Bhutan. To enter Bhutan, a visitor may board the Druk Air from any of the following airports:

• Katmandu, Nepal
• Dacca, Bangladesh
• Bangkok, Thailand
• New Delhi, India
• Calcutta, India

Tickets can be arranged for you by us from Bhutan - at a much cheaper price - since purchasing in Bhutan will not attract VAT or you can get your travel agent to purchase from one of the many Druk Air's Reservation offices around the world. Upon request, we can forward to you the name and address of the reservation office in your country.

AIRCRAFT
Druk Air operates two BAe 146-100 series aircraft with seating capacity for 72 passengers. Ten seats are available in the Executive Class and 62 in the Economy Class.

Due to the small size of the aircraft, cargo capacity is only 4,950 LBS. As a result, checked in baggage often get offloaded during peak seasons. However, in most cases, offloaded baggage is delivered on the next flight. As a matter of policy, tourist baggage receives priority and is seldom offloaded.

Carrying capacity of the aircraft will be determined by many factors such as ground temperature, wind speed and weather conditions. Full load capacity is sometimes not possible depending upon the condition prevailing on the day of the flight.

CHECKED-IN BAGGAGE
All passengers are allowed registered baggage free of charge as follows:

Executive Class 30 Kgs.

Economy Class 20 Kgs.

HAND BAGGAGE
Only one baggage is allowed.

BAGGAGE/CARGO SIZE LIMITATION
Outsized packages cannot be loaded on to the aircraft's cargo hold. In particular, communications antennae will be a problem. Please consult us on the maximum height and length restrictions when planning your trip.
