An Intellect with a style
Born on the 18th of
November 1940, undertook his early studies in language and religioun at an
early age, before joining the British Sandhurst Military Academy. He also
studied local government and came back
to
Oman to assume power on July 23rd 1970. he used his talents and utilized the
country’s rich resources
to
transform Oman into a modern state. Over the past 33 years Oman has witnessed
outstanding development in its infrastructure and services and has also
developed modern communication networks. Sultan Qaboos has shown an early
keenness in the encouragement of Amateur Radio and is himself a
Radio
Amateur with the callsign A41AA. He ordered the establishment of ROARS and is
the Societies Patron.
