At the hill top, in the old Austrian Empire navy fort is situated contest location of the Radio Club Vela Luka 9A1CDH. Location is at the dominant position over the island (376 m above sea level), beautiful view, excellent place to join holidays and hobby, UFB location for MS work and VHF dx-ing as well as shotwave contests. 9A1CDH guys together with Mate, 9A3PA are planning to organize there international ham radio centre wide opened to all hams around the world. For now, there is available two-room shack with 3 beds for operator's rest, 3 antenna towers and 3,5 kW power generator. There is good road from Vela Luka to hill top. Few expeditions were QRV from there in the past achieving excellent results and top contest score. You can get more information from 9A1CDH and 9A3PA.
