ABOUT US: Vallis Aurea Radio Club 9A1BTU is situated in beautiful baroque town Pozega, in Northeastern part of Croatia. WW Loc is JN85UH. We're found in 1947 and now we have some 100 members holding A, B, C, and P licenses. According to history documents, there was sporadic Amateur Radio activity in Pozega after the WW1. All OMs from this time worked as Unlicensed Amateurs, because Amateurs were not permitted to transmit, till year 1946. First Club's callsign issued was YU2BTU, later we got YU2CAE and YU2CKV. Prefixes were changed from YU2 to 9A1 as ITU recognized Croatia as independent state in 1992. During the 1997 we had celebrated our big 50 years anniversary with various Amateur Radio activities. Club was active on all bands with special commemorative callsign 9A50VA (Nine Alpha Five Zero Victor Alpha). This was the first 9A50 prefix issued ever. Amateurs that worked with this station received nice full color, double sized QSL card. Visit Pictures to view a copy of our QSL Cards. In 2004-2008, Club's President is Kresimir Milinkovic, 9A4KM, and following Members:
ACTIVITIES: 9A1BTU can easily be heard on CW part of all HF bands, all mode during 6m/2m/70cm contests as 9A4P, and on Packet radio. During contests, we work from a nice location on a hill (JN85UG), some 6 km from Pozega. With great help of City Mayor Prof. Branko Skorup, who provided a place in village school house, we have raised antenna tower, put necessary wirings, and in Spring 1997 send our first signals from there. In Pictures gallery you can view pictures from this location, antenna system (4*17el F9FT at 2m + 2*9el Delta Loop at 20m high tower). EQUIPMENT:
Past six years (1999-2004) POZEGA VHF and HF contests under our organization experienced great activity. We're happy about your increased interest and participation this year! POZEGA 2005 Contest rules are available here... |
