The Club's

which are held
on the of each
month at 7:30 pm. The ARSB sponsors a Sunday morning net on 7.185
Mhz at 12:30 Z and 2 meter net on the Barbados( # 1 repeater) on Wednesday
nights at 8pm local time( 0000Z). The ARSB is also responsible for organizing
net control stations for the Antilles Emergency and Weather Net when it
is Barbados's turn to act as net control. This net meets at 1030Z and 2230Z
daily.
The station at the ARSB boasts an Icom IC-738 which feeds a KLM KT34A for
the high bands and wires for 30, 40 & 80 metres. There are also
two VHF transceivers; one for FM voice and the other a packet digipeater
on 145.010 MHz. The "main" Barbados repeater is maintained by the
ARSB and is located in the centre of the Island at Surges, the frequency
is 146.910 MHz, - 600 Hz offset.
The
second repeater is the #2 or "Grenada" repeater, so named as it is linked
into Grenada. It operates on 145.310 MHz, -600 Hz offset. This repeater
gives access to as far north as Dominica and south to Venezuela although
I have heard a Brazilian station calling once !
There
is also a packet node on 145.010 MHz which when propagation permits allows
communication from Venezuela in the south to Antigua in the north.
