MY EQUIPMENT AND MYSELF

Portrait picture of 7N2UTO

Good day, my friend. I'm Mako.
My parents bought me a radio cassette tape recorder in spring of 1972. This was the cause for me to enter the kingdom of radio. I had come to hear shortwave broadcasting in the world every night since then. Please visit the homepage HERE, if you are interested in my Radio Days. You may look at many verification cards and other items which were sent from broadcasting stations in 1970s and 80s.
I acquire the license of amateur radio and began to operate 7N2UTO in 1993. I became crazy for communicating with foreign radio stations soon, although I liked talking with domestic stations on 6 meters at first.
I am being absorbed in collecting the U.S.A. counties recently. Although it is a very difficult challenge, talking to American friends is very pleasant, and it is useful to the study of English conversation. Since I also like DX contests, I think that there are many opportunities to meet you on radio. I am making expectation the day which can become acquainted with you.
(My friend took the upper photograph in a noodle restaurant recently. I like noodles to the next of radio.)

antennas

A panorama view from the roof (MP3 movie 15 seconds 2.5MB) NEW

I have fixed five antennas on a tower with a height of 20meters from the ground - please see the upper photograph. The following views will be able to be enjoyed if you reach on the top of my tower. Since I have acrophobia, I welcome you to climb my tower and maintain my antennas anytime, HI.

transceivers

7N2UTO's transceivers

I use three transceivers of Kenwood's TS-690S, YAESU's FT-1000MP and FT-655. They are driven with output of 100 watts, because I don't have any power amplifiers.
