What mode of modulation?::..

What mode of modulation?

For the beginning it is a little about the equipment. If at you at home stands super the modern audiocenter with the receiver on  the вещательный HF-Band most likely, you will not hear any radio fan. Parameters of industrial receivers, in the musical centers, unfortunately do not provide normal reception in general (though I can and be mistaken). Except for that all industrial receivers are intended for received amplitude modulation and cannot accept amateur SSB-stations, let alone telegraph. If you will take the old transistor receiver  and build " telegraph heterodyne ", in a band of 41 meter, can be (!, can be) will hear any stations of amateurs.

To radio fans it is allocated nine sites HF bands:

  • 160-meter (1,81 - 2 MHz),
  • 80-meter (3,5 - 3,8 MHz),
  • 40-meter (7 - 7,1 MHz),
  • 30-meter (only telegraph 10,1 - 10,15 MHz),
  • 20-meter (14 - 14,35 MHz),
  • 16-meter (18,068 - 18,318 MHz),
  • 15-meter (21 - 21,45 MHz),
  • 12-meter (24,89 - 24,99 MHz),
  • 10-meter (28 - 29,7 MHz).
HF-amateur apply to work: telegraph (CW), phone with one-strip modulation (SSB) and digital modes. On an example you can hear the basic modes of radiation, having pressed on  the button:

CW PSK-31 BPSK
SSB PSK-63F BPSK
FSK PSK-31 QPSK
AFSK MFSK
RTTY MFSK-8
AMTOR MFSK-16
PACTOR HELL
PACKET 300 MT-63
PACKET 1200 SSTV Scottie-1
Q15X25 SSTV Martin-1

The radioamateur ether never happens is empty. At any time - day it is possible to hear amateur radio stations. However on different amateur ranges passage of radiowaves has the features. I shall not describe principles of distribution of radiowaves are you can easily find in any textbook on a radio engineering.
