Down loads

Antenna Heading  (48kb)  :- This program calculates the best heading to turn your antenna for establish a good contact on HF or VHF. Run the program and enter your Latitude and Longitude. Then enter Latitude and Longitude for the other station. When you run the program in the next time, no needs to enter your coordinates again because it is already saved in the Registry of your computer. You can get the heading for your antenna (My Antenna Heading) and the antenna heading for the other station also.

Loop Antenna (44kb) :-  This is high-Q, Narrow-band, Wide frequency range, directional but low efficiency antenna. Suitable for restricted space. It is possible for indoor use also but  don't do it.  You must remember that nobody stay within few feet away from the antenna, while transmit because RF radiation is harmful for human.  Enter the diameter of the loop, conductor diameter, operating frequency and transmitting power output and press the button. Then you can get the capacitance and the voltage rating of the tuning capacitor. You can get the following information also :- Loop length, Q-factor, Efficiency, Band width, Radiation resistance, Conductor loss, Loop inductance, Inductive reactance

Dipole (116kb) :- If you have a restricted space you can design a loaded dipole (HF) antenna for any shorter length for any frequency in the HF band with the help of this program. This is a high-Q and narrow band antenna because it's length is shorter than the normal dipole.

Inductance  (32kb)  :- If you want to calculate the inductance of a single layer coil use the upper half of the window. Enter the diameter, length in millimeters and the number of turns. Then press "Inductance" button. With using the lower half of the window, you can calculate the number of turns. Input the inductance in micro Henrys and, diameter and length of the coil in millimeters. Then press "Number of turns" button

Locator (36kb) :-  Run this program and enter your Latitude and Longitude with degrees minutes and seconds and select N/S, E/W also and press "LOCATOR" button. Then you can get the world wide QTH-Locator.

Range (44kb) :- With using this program you can find out the shortest distance between two locations on the Earth. Enter latitudes and longitudes for two locations and press "Range" button.

rae1.zip (492kb) , rae2.zip (514kb) :- Two zip-files having Amateur Radio course. This is helpful for who wish to learn HAM-Radio and get the licence. This is available online with 8 chapters on "Ham Radio Course" page.

RAE-Past Question Papers :- Following past question papers available for Radio Amateur Exam.

The second stage of Morse Lessons available as an example of a CQ-call. It is also a mp3-file, for download click here CQ-QSO (size:- 548 kb) and click here for the LIST ( 20 kb)

The third stage of Morse Lessons also an example QSO for a directional call (576 kb) and click the link for download and click here for the LIST (21 kb)

Sidereal Time (36kb) :-If you have an interest in Astronomy or Astrology, this program is very useful. You have to input the Longitude of the location (degrees, minutes and seconds) and select East or West. Then input the date and time in UTC (GMT). Then you can get the Local Sidereal Time for that location in hour, minute and second with 24 hour basis.

Phone Number (80kb)  :- (Latest version revised on 9th, Sep 2003)  Phone numbers in Sri Lanka are now changing to 10 digit format (area code + phone number). This changes are activating step by step. With using this Visual Basic program you can get  the new area code and new phone number and the effective date for both.

Lowada-Sangarawa (554kb Acrobat file):- Very popular ancient Sinhalese poem book written by Venerable Vidagama Maithree Nayakathera in 15th century. Including all 140 poems in Sinhalese language and their meanings in English. This is very helpful for every human.
