My Leisure time ..........Last updated on 2004/02/01

I don't have much leisure time these days due to increasing workload in the office . But I like to manage my little leisure time among the few interesting hobbies I have.

 

Here is a photograph of some of my family members taken on 02/09/1999 at the hill country 'Nuwara Eliya'.

I like going trips and having fellowship with same age people. This cannot be done regularly as I am not having much leisure time. By this time I have gone to almost all the beautiful places in the island but I know I have a lot more to cover. I also like to enjoy good food all the time and do not forget to do so as and when a chance occurs. Traveling in other countries has become a hobby recently. I have been to Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, UK, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Bangladesh, Maldives and Thailand so far. More countries will add to the list...

 

Apart from all this, another hobby of mine is designing and experimenting with various kinds of antennas. This is a highly practical job and the knowledge I gain is extreme by doing all by myself. I have made monobanders for 10m, 15m and 20m bands. The latest experiment is the parabolic dish antenna for C-band satellite TV reception.

As and when the time permits, I listen to music and watch TV. Classical and country music are my favorites. Listening to Short wave radio is another hobby which educates me all the time.

Another hobby is photography. Most of the pictures in this site were taken by me.

 
 

When I feel tired or need a break, this is the ideal place, the waterfall near my house. One can spend hours and hours here relaxing in the green forest having no human voice but the sound of water and the birds singing....... (Ideal place for a dxpedition too...but one shouldn't take too much RF here..).
