Army! Stand still!
My military service was a better period of my life. I went to army quite suddenly as I wanted in that momente, and I wasn't affrade at all. I leaft Kragujevac all alone ,by train and didn't want anyone to follow me. I came down from the train in Sevojno! Oh,yea...!! I went directly to Ivana, YT1RU where we where seeting and talking.Later we went to Milan YU1ZZ who followed me to miltary barracks about 11:30h. Once when I was visiting Uzice Ivana told me: "Miki,do you see that barracks, you are going to serve your military service right there". And it was like that.

We where every day till oath freezing on temperatures minus 10 degrees,and even more.I didn't have any idea when I came to Uzice that the clime here was quite severe.Winter comes at September and summer at June.Between these monthes there is a great possibility of snnowing.Unfortunately I came in army as a teleprinterist but later,at last,I moved to another company, at february 1st. 2002, that was more conveniente to me.From that moment I was on my territory.I started to operate with YU1ACS and to run a radio amateur course together with my friend Ziko YU1AN.There was a QRQ contest at 398. regiment on Martch 27th 2002.I contested and I won the first place(I got 10 days). At the end of May I passed for II class(I got 7 days).I must addmit that my and impressions of my colleagues where not similar.It was normal, we where not in the same possition : because of my knowledge of CW I had a lot of benefits.I was going out when ever it was necessary for some contest or action at YT9X. Unfortunately 3 monthes before the end of my serving I got a new relocation to Belgrade, at May 30th 2002.There where not conditions for any kind of radio amateurisam.Everything good that happened to me in the army was in direct connection with my serving in Uzice and I am proud of that.
