QSY to Cebu City DU7 Visaya Region
Since November 2000, I moved my old Manila Station to my QTH in Cebu City.
I will maintain this station to operate during the CQWW DX and WPX CW Contest I hope I can do so
in 2000 already if I finish the setup in due time.

My new call is now 4F7RWW and the QSL manager   remains OM Thomas DJ6OI (ex DL4OCM) .
The change of Prefix from 4F1 to 4F7 is necessary due to Philippine Amateur Radio laws, since I changed my QTH to
Cebu City located in the Visaya Region 7.

Unfortunately my new QTH is not perfect my beam is heading a mountain side in 0 degree North. Europe is behind  the mountain and Japan/US is just getting free. My Beam is on 15m high and just on the same level as the tip of the mountain.

ELECRAFT K2

The Elecraft K2 QRP Transceiver is an excellent Transceiver Kit easy to build and without the need of any kind of Test Equipment.
It operates with up to 10 Watts only and has all the features you request from a modern transceiver and all is a do it your self Kit.

I bought this Kit in September 1999 and assembled it in only 35hours. It worked on the spot and it is a very easy to build Kit, absolutely perfect. In matters of support by Elecraft, I never had an equipment with an support like this, unbelievable top of the line what Elecraft is doing.

The K2 was designed from HAM's for HAM's.

It is operating on all Bands, all modes with an Power adjustable from 0.1 up to 10Watt. Features like in one of this big expensive Rigs, you can buy from Japan and all extremely small and portable.

The price believe it or not the Basic version for less then 600US$.

To read more about the ELECRAFT K2 go to http://www.elecraft.com

Somewhere I saw a banner with the "Live is to short for QRT".

It really depends when you start it :).
This picture I took in Germany during my annual vacation back home. The antenna used during this time was a wire GP style put into the tree. The very excellent K2 Antenna Tuner matched almost all bands and I was able to have some US and VK contacts during this time with 10W only.

My daughter posed for this picture she doesn't know CW yet, maybe later who knows.

Direct QSL Card recommendation:

1. Check out my ON-LINE Log book if our QSO is logged. I make sure to verify all parameters
like Date, Time, QRG, if I cannot locate your call. To eliminate mistakes on my site.

2. Use only  IRC preferable before money. JA OM's do not send this fancy IRBS envelopes, we can not use them in DL or DU,
they are without any value! Your card will be answered by BUREAU.

3. If you have to send money, use 2 US$ (two US$), this is enough to pay for an Air-Mail from Germany to anywhere for one
QSL Card only. Insert the money in the return envelope, it is more difficult to detect it inside the second envelope.

4. Please note 1 US$ (one US$) is not enough to cover the cost for an Air-Mail Letter from Germany. QSL arriving which do
not have suffiicient founding will be answered by Buro. Two US$ (2 US$) is the amount currently needed to cover the cost
for an air way bill letter to abroad. My QSL Manager Thomas, DL4OCM, will strictly implement this procedure. We do not
want earn money on direct QSL request, but we do not want spent it either. Please understand this guidline.

5. Take note of my QSL Card size 14.5cm to 10.1cm (US amateurs attention     5.7'x4'   !!!!)
and enclose an envelope what could accommodate my card. Otherwise enclose only an address label, we do have glue and some
    envelopes.

6. SWL, I am always very happy to get a QSL from a SWL and we will take time to answer the SWL very detailed.
But make sure you catch up at least one of my QSO partners call correctly! I prefer the old fashion way in
decoding CW..............:-)))) DX-Cluster SWL's are cheating only themselves...

VK3WWR QRV in Australia
Since December 2000 the faith moved me from my beloved Cebu City to Melbourne Australia.
I will spend the next years here gaining more professional experience and provide my daughter
an European based education.

Anyway, I will try to be on Air temporary mostly in QRP using my small K2 QRP Tranceiver.

I will operate on small feets with Ground Plane Antennas in the Garden.

If you in Melbourne contact me I am happy for any disturbance in the usual daily live.
