Overseas Women’s Club holds Jubilee dinner

Loline Lualhati-Reed, chairperson of the Overseas Women’s Club of the United Kingdom, is shown in photo with Sir John Stevens QPM, DL, the distinguished Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis; Sir Thomas Stockdale, Baronet and Prime Warden of the Fishmongers Company; and Philippine Ambassador Cesar B. Bautista, during the Golden Jubilee dinner hosted by the club. The OWC, a charity organization composed of women professionals and wives of diplomats representing 58 countries, held the formal dinner in honor of Her Majesty the Queen, with Sir John Stevens as guest speaker. Mrs. Lualhati-Reed has been the OWC’s chairperson for the past eight years, the first non-Caucasian woman to hold the post since the OWC’s founding in 1959 by the British Foreign Office. She is also a past president of the Filipino Women’s Association (UK).
