A short presentation of the crew:

LA5QKA - Øystein
Øystein (54) works for the local police in Volda, and is Chairman of the local Radio Club and member of the NRRL board. He was first licensed as LC8EAT in 1997, and obtained full privileges as LA5QKA in 2001. Øystein also participated in the S9LA expedition 2002.

LA6EIA - Ole
I am married to Kari (LA8FMA) and have 2 boys, Olaf (14) and Haakon (10). I started with radio back in 1970 as a BC-DX'er with mediumwave DX towards North, Central and South America as my favorite areas.
I have heard hundreds of AM-stations from this area the last 34 years and have verifications from 1090 stations in 180 countries.
I got my first novice Ham licence in March 1992 (LB9MD) and did upgrade to LA6EIA August 1992.
I have always been a fan of low-bands and I'm now working 80 and 160 meters.
I was one of the low-band operators on the S9LA dx-pedition in 2002.

LA7IJA - Amund

OZ1FTU - Søren
I am 40 years of age and acheived my amateur radio license in 1979, 15 years old. Since then my main interest has been focused on VHF-UHF DX-work, but I have also spent some great time working the major HF-contests under the OZ9EDR and OZ5W.
I have participated in a few 144Mhz DXpeditions to 4U1ITU, T7, TA, SV5, EA, OH&LA and a larger EME effort to Greenland in 2000, OX2K. In HF contesting I have been operating in CQWW and ARRL contests since 1989, starting with SSB but are now enjoying CW as the primary mode of operation. I have participated in two major CQWW contest DXpeditions, the first to Cuba, T49C, in 1997 and Greenland, XP1AB, in 2001.
Besides my hobby as radio amateur I like to travel and try not to miss any opportunity to visit other amateurs around the world.
