MY FAMILY.

I am 27 and have two children, Mathew who is nine and April who is seven.  Mathew is the more serious of the two, he likes computing and enjoys watching Pete fix things.  April is the more outgoing of the two, she likes attention and will at the drop of a hat, sing and dance in front of any one that will watch!  They are on the whole good kids even with their little quirks.  Pete my fella is also a good bloke on the whole, he's forever bringing me little love tokens, like RA note pads, RA pens, RA mouse-mats and even… this is the best one, an RA cup, so I can have a lovely cup of tea in it!  So chaps and chapesess, when valentines day is upon us, go down to the RA stand at the nearest rally and get a present for your nearest and dearest!  But saying that… I love him really!

ME

MY HOBBIES

My hobbies are messing about on the computer, Amateur radio (now), collecting cow memorabilia and cuddling up to Pete M1ELF!

M1DVT's Novice course.

I have just recently passed my Novice exam, which I am really proud off.  At home I work off a Standard C500 which my Fella (M1ELF Pete) donated for my use.  It helps me to talk to where I want to, (which isn't far, as my mate 2E1MAZ only lives about 4 miles away).   I started the Novice course because I wanted to pay an interest in one of  Pete's hobbies, and as the other hobby he had was rock collecting I thought that this was the lesser of the two evil's!  I enjoyed the course immensely there were two other people on the course with me, Graham and Derek.  We all had a laugh and enjoyed learning about Amateur radio from John M1DVT and Pete M1ELF.  They made the Novice course fun and enjoyable, and made you want to go every week.  All of us on the course passed, and all of us have got our call signs.  To which we owe John M1DVT and Pete M1ELF a big thank you.  The part I didn't enjoy on the course was dB's, I just couldn't get my head round them and Zero's (nano, pica etc), I couldn't remember how many zero's were in what measurement!  I'm not really mathematically minded as you can tell.
