Empty Frets

Empty Frets is the music band I play in, being an avid music fan of '60's and 70's music I am a keen musician in a rock group.

We play a blend of riff based songs which are influenced alot by the music of Led Zeppilin and The Who, as well as modern bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

The band has been going for nearly 4 years, and has been going from strength to strength, with 2004 being the best year for performing and being recognised. After winning the local battle of the bands at a college we were given the oppertunity to get in a studio and get a demo album down. Hopefully the album will be finished early in 2005, copies will be availible at all gigs we play.

The band consists of three other members, Dominic on Lead Guitar, Charlie on Rhythm guitar and his brother Tom on Drums.

Dom plays a Gibson USA 1970 Les Paul Custom in White, along with a Fender Stratocaster. His effects include a Boss Turbo Distortion and a Jim Dunlop Wah-wah pedal. Running all this into a Peavey 80Watt Combo Amplifier.

Charlie play a Fender 1970's re-issue Jaguar in Tobacco sunburst, running into a Boss BD-2 Blues Driver pedal. This is all run into a Marshall VS100 combo amplifier.

Tom plays a Pearl Export drum kit in blue mounted on a Gibralta rack for rigid durability during gigs.

I play a Warwick Corvette 4 String bass as a main axe into a Marshall B150 Combo amplifier, as a standby guitar I use an Ibanez GSR200.
