THE 2E1FTV AMATEUR RADIO PAGE

Hi from John, I have been interested in radio from a young boy, watching my late Dad G4OK
talk to hams on HF, when he tuned up the TX, the house lights would flicker and I would listen
when he called CQ on CW and AM, then I started short wave listening, I still listen to this
day, I listen to Eric G3MWN on 14.117 Mhz most mornings at 10.30 AM local time when the
band is open, I have also owned a lot of old sets of a bygone age Racal RA17, Edistone 640,
KW Vanguard, KW 2000B, Number 19 sets, HRO, I also had a AR88 that was once owned by
my dear late friend Nev G3JDK, I have a big interest in 2m and 70cms, I talk most mornings to
my friends John G6VIN, Ian M0EIG, Vctor G6VKG, Jim M3ZHI, some times other join the group
on 145.325 Mhz, I also like Echo Link and IRLP and AllStar and use the G4NJI nodes in
Rotherham for this.
I listen on most of the HF bands but mostly listen to 80m and 40m but do like the other bands
when open.
l have also constructed many Heathkit projects and once made my own TV 405 line BW and I am
interested in streaming vision on the internet useing the BATC web site to streame video all over
the world.
In the listings take a look at Ham radio photo album, here you can see pictures of me and my
ham friends and a picture of my Dads shack, you may also like a look at the 2E1FTV valve and
vintage page, here you can see pictures of some real old sets.

The very best of 73 to all my friends around the world from John 2E1FTV.
